Have you ever wondered if the dinosaurs could be brought back? Scientists have been cloning animals for years. Is it even possible to clone a dinosaur? Is it a good idea?
Students will explore DNA, Deoxyribonucleic Acid, and learn about its importance in science and crime investigation while performing hands-on experiments and activities, including the extraction of real DNA!
Bridges – Building and Burning
Pittsburgh is known as the City of Bridges and with almost 2,000 bridges in Allegheny County, one can understand why. Students will learn about the history and science of bridges — and construct and test different types of bridges to gain an understanding of these feats of engineering.
The Tudor Kings & Queens
From the first Tudor monarch, Henry VII, the Winter King, to Gloriana, Queen Elizabeth I, discover the intrigue, drama, danger, and astonishing events of the Tudor Era through hands-on projects and activities.
